Launch of the Victims’ Rights Alliance

Victim Support Europe would like to congratulate the formation of the Victims’ Rights Alliance. The EU Directive provides a milestone for the advancement of European victims’ rights, but will need full and comprehensive implementation in order to provide real improvements for victim and their ability to access rights and services in practice in the different EU Member States. NGOs and other stakeholders working directly with victims of crime have the knowledge and experience required to provide practical solutions during this important implementation process. Victim Support Europe wishes you all the best and look forward to continuing our cooperation in the future.”

David McKenna – President, Victim Support Europe

On the 15th of November the launch of the Victims’ Rights Alliance will take place at 4.30 pm in Dublin’s Mansion House with refreshments from 4.15pm.

The Victims’ Rights Alliance, is a group of victims’ rights organisations who are working together to ensure that the Victims’ Rights Directive is implemented within the proposed time frame with all victims of crime in mind.
